Diana Rodriguez-Calvert Named Executive of the Year in Pharmacology Consulting
For 27 years, Dr. Rodriguez-Calvert has optimized drug therapies for patients
WAGONER, OK, September 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diana Rodriguez-Calvert, Pharm.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Information Drugstore, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in pharmacology consulting. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Passionate about optimizing drug therapy so that patients do not experience adverse reactions or delayed interactions, Dr. Rodriguez-Calvert has been a pioneering member of the clinical pharmaceuticals industry for 27 years. Now the president and chief executive officer of her own consultancy, she advises patients, physicians and health care providers about alternative medication therapies that will reduce or eliminate adverse reactions patients experience, whether they are caused by medication, herbs, or food interactions. She enjoys the challenge of making evaluations and is always gratified when she "hits gold" and patients feel better. Dr. Rodriguez-Calvert's expertise in medication therapy management earned her the honor of being named Advocate-Professional Care Provider of the Year by TARC in 1993. She also received an Education Certificate of Appreciation from the state of New Mexico in 1975.
Dr. Rodriguez-Calvert earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Southern California in 1971 and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceuticals from The University of Oklahoma in 1965. Certified in clinical pharmacology consulting for medication therapy, she is professionally affiliated with the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association and the Medication Therapy Management Committee. Looking ahead, Dr. Rodriguez-Calvert intends to bring her comprehensive knowledge to a teaching role at the university level. She would also like to work on an ongoing basis with individuals who are developmentally delayed, elderly, or have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, with the goal of reducing any complications they experience with their medications.
