SUFFERN, NY August 1, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Margaret R. Gonzalez, Director of Quality Operations for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in pharmaceutical management.

Drawn to the field of scientific research, Ms. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1981 from Saint Louis University. Now with three decades in the field, she is currently the director of quality operations for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Using her expertise in microbiology, laboratory analysis, and quality control, she manages the testing of raw materials, package components, and develops the laboratory protocol for handling these materials. In addition, she is responsible supplier quality and auditing.

A member of the American Chemical Society, Ms. Gonzalez is also charged with overseeing the company's quality control department. In the future, she expects to earn a master's degree in business from St. Joseph's University.
