Marvin L. Walker, Jr. has published a book, "Workbook to Accompany" to be used in conjunction with, "The Pharmacy Technician: A Comprehensive Approach"

KILLEEN, TX, August 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marvin L. Walker, Jr. Supervisor of Pharmacy Supply at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in pharmaceutical operations.

With 37 years of professional experience, Mr. Walker, Jr. serves as a supervisor for Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. Specializing in chemotherapy and oncology, he teaches the pharmacy technician program at Temple College and at the Medical Center. Prior to joining the medical center, he worked for the United States Air Force and United States Army Reserves. While serving the military, he developed an interest in the field of pharmacy.

Mr. Walker received an Associate of Applied Science in Health Sciences from The University of Houston. He is a member of the National Pharmacy Technician Association and the American Society of Hospital Professionals. In 2009, he attained the Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award. In the future, he intends to retire and write books on pharmacy.
