Recently graduated from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a doctorate of pharmacy, Safiya N. Vance is an emerging professional in the field of pharmaceutical science and retail services. She now lends three years of experience to CVS/Pharmacy, a nationwide leader in consumer products, where she is charged with managing patient care, product inventory, and patient compliance. Such tasks entail liaising with insurance companies, placing follow-up calls to patients and doctors, and supervising pharmacy technicians. Ms. Vance is most distinguished for her excellent customer service skills and determination to succeed.

In an exclusive interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. Vance noted her aspirations of one day thriving in a clinical, hospital, or educational setting. She initially became involved in her profession through her talent in the fields of chemistry and mathematics, and made the Dean's List several times throughout her undergraduate and graduate education. Additionally, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship by Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
