With extensive professional experience spanning over a quarter century, Miriam M. Thompson, R.Ph., serves as an invaluable member of the pharmacy staff at Alexandria VA Medical Center. Specializing in pharmaceuticals, she is responsible for dispensing medication, reviewing medication histories, liaising with doctors, assisting patients during discharge, and monitoring drug therapy and patient compliance. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, Ms. Thompson worked as a pharmacy technician in the United States Navy.

Ms. Thompson holds a bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of Arkansas and is a proud member of the Infection Control Committee at the Alexandria VA, the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, The Rho Chi Society, Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
