After Excelling as a Pharmacist, Colleen R. Hair will soon Enter the Research and Academia Field

PITTSBURGH, PA, November 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Colleen R. Hair, Pharm.D., Pharmacist for the Rite Aid Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in community pharmacy practices.

Colleen R. Hair has two years of experience as a pharmacist for the Rite Aid Corporation. Her areas of expertise include solid-state chemistry, powder X-ray diffractions, and community pharmacy practice. She is responsible for dispensing medication, consulting, communicating with doctors, checking prescriptions, and conducting research. In the near future, Ms. Hair hopes to teach pharmaceutical studies at a university. While attending pharmacy school, she had the opportunity to participate in an undergraduate program while attending a pharmacy school, which enabled her to learn more about research careers. For two years, she worked in a lab at Duquesne with one of her professors. This turning point played an integral role in her decision to further her education and pursue a career in research and academia.

Ms. Hair received a Pharm.D. in 2009 from Duquesne University. She is a member of the American Pharmacists Association and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Campus Ministry of Duquesne University.
