Richard Lev Named Chief Compliance Officer of Publicis Strategic Solutions Group
Publicis Strategic Solutions Group — a provider of multichannel message delivery solutions for the life sciences industry — announces Richard S. Lev, JD, named Chief Compliance Officer.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ, September 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Publicis Strategic Solutions Group—a leading provider of multichannel message delivery solutions for the life sciences industry—has announced that Richard S. Lev, JD, has been named Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Publicis Strategic Solutions Group (PSSG) is a division of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group.

In his new role, Lev will oversee the Corporate Compliance Program, which reviews and evaluates all compliance issues and concerns within the organization. Lev reports to Rick Keefer, PSSG President and CEO.

"As CCO, Richard will ensure that the PSSG Board of Directors, management, and all employees are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, that policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets our Standards of Conduct," said Keefer. "He will provide guidance to board members and senior management in matters relating to compliance, as well as review and update the Standards of Conduct," Keefer added.

Lev has more than 19 years experience in U.S. pharmaceutical law and regulation. Most recently, he was Senior Counsel for Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., where he was lead counsel for drug commercialization programs in areas such as virology, anemia, diabetes, oncology, and rheumatoid arthritis. He was also compliance counsel for sales, marketing, and medical activities for major FDA-approved drug brands.

Lev served for eight years with the Food and Drug Administration as Regulatory Counsel/Compliance Officer involved in FDA civil and criminal enforcement, compliance, and policy matters. His other experience includes Associate General Counsel with Pharmacia Corp., Senior Counsel with Organon Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., and Chief Compliance Officer with Biovail Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Lev holds a bachelor of science degree in biology from Union College, and a juris doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University.
