Simpson Healthcare participates in the American Heart Association Walk
The local chapter of the America Heart Association held a walk at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven on Sunday, May 18, 2008
NEW HAVEN, CT, November 01, 2008 /Pharmaceutical News Articles/ -- The local chapter of the America Heart Association held a walk at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in an effort to continue the tradition that the American Heart Association established in 1924, which is to help protect people of all ages and ethnicities from the ravages of heart disease and stroke.
Kelly Angelini, Erin Conlan, Tiffany Kleefeld, and Penny Oakley recently participated in the American Heart Association walk on May 18, 2008 in an effort to join forces with the American Heart Association to raise awareness for the prevention of heart disease and stroke the nation's number 1 and 3 killers. They received much support and donations from colleagues, friends, and family members. The team members raise $1555 and Simpson Healthcare matched the donations bringing the grand total to $3110. The money that was raised for this event will go toward research and education for prevention.
