Simpson Healthcare goes the distance, supports the Connecticut Parkinson Disease Association


    EAST HAVEN, CT, October 24, 2008 /Pharmaceutical News Articles/ -- The weekend of May 31st featured one of the Connecticut Parkinson Disease Association's charitable events' Family Fun Day and Walkathon! This included the Mayor of East Haven, April Capone, who was able to take time out of her schedule to kickoff this event. Simpson Healthcare was able to attend this charitable event and donate their time to this cause. It was overwhelming to see the amount of support this association had at this event.

On the beautiful shoreline campus of The Village at Mariner's Point (A Benchmark Senior Living Community) in collaboration with Benchmark and other supporters this day
featured: A walkathon, lectures, demonstrations, food, entertainment, and kids' activities.
Entertainment was provided by none other than John Voket from WPLR.

Throughout this occasion, people were excited to be a part of this charity event for Parkinson's disease. A quote from the nurse coordinator, Donna Diaz, "It is great to see Simpson Healthcare support this cause and I hope to see you at future events". An additional quote from Mayor Capone, "Parkinson's disease is affecting millions across the country, it is great to see everyone coming out and supporting this cause.

Money raised from this event will be used for PD research and CT supportive services.
